Project: Capacity Building
The Sino-Finnish Research Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation at the University of Vaasa received funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for a two-year project in 2018.
The project, Capacity-building for Sino-Finnish Research Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation, aims to energize the innovation ecosystem of the Vaasa region by fostering Sino-Finnish collaboration in the region. The objective is to boost cooperation related to energy transition and sustainable development, which involve significant research and business opportunities for both China as well as for Finland.
The project includes:
- Development of business networks and RDI projects;
- Designing of strategic plans for internationalization and export of higher education;
- Development of innovation policy;
- Fostering of citizens’ participation.
The project is carried out by a research team at the University of Vaasa. The university and the City of Vaasa also contribute to the project funding.
