Sino-Finnish Business Forum on Energy transition in November 7, 2019
Sino-Finnish Business Forum on Energy Transition took place in Vaasa in November 2019. The Forum was part of the activities organized by the EU regional development project at the University of Vaasa.

The Forum focused on the favourable conditions and prospects of sustainable energy cooperation between China and Finland. It aimed to promote close cooperation between Chinese and Finnish energy enterprises, academic communities and government/policy decision makers in the context of global energy transition. The topics covered Chinese and Finnish energy policies, corporate cooperation prospects and development strategies.
Among those who addressed at the Forum were Mr. Chen Li, Chinese ambassador to Finland, Mr. Tomas Häyry, mayor of Vaasa, and Ms. Annukka Jokipii, vice-president of University of Vaasa. The keynote speakers included Ms. Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, member of the European Parliament from Finland, Mr. Gao Shixian, deputy director of Energy Research Institute National development And Reform Commission, Mr. Zhu Ziqi, chairman of Chinese Enterprise Association in Finland, and Mr. Tan Libin, president for the Energy Storage Business Unit of CATL.

As the Sino-Finnish Research Centre’s first idea contest, we invite students at three universities to join: students at the University of Vaasa in Finland and students at the Southwest Jiaotong University and Xi’an Jiaotong University in China.
